From April 24 to 26, 2019, Huangshi Aikang Hospital of Aikang Group wrote a new chapter in the industry. One year after passing the 3A grading, it invited a national professional jury to carry out a comprehensive review on its public welfare nature, hospital services, patient safety, medical quality safety management, hospital management, etc.
This review invited 6 review experts at national and provincial levels to conduct a retrospective review on all aspects of 637 items, including 49 core items, in the evaluation standard of third-level general hospitals.
In the president's report of the first round, Deng Jianping, President of Huangshi Aikang Hospital, introduced the purpose of inviting experts for this review. After Huangshi Aikang Hospital passed 3A grading in September 2017, the leaders of the Group and the hospital decided to invite a review conducted by external experts every year to maintain and consolidate the results of 3A grading and turn irregular review into a regular one, thus to truly achieve continuous improvement.

The review lasted three days and review experts visited over 20 clinical and medical technological departments, together with more than 20 functional logistics departments across the hospital, and interviewed over 500 employees, as well as over 20 patients and their family members. In addition, they inspected more than 500 devices, over 50 medical records and hundreds of documents.

In addition, the significance of the review is to find the right direction and look to the future. Improvements will be made according to the opinions of the experts.

Li Wuer, COO of Aikang Group, said in his speech that since Huangshi Aikang Hospital passed 3A grading in 2017, "how to consolidate the results of 3A grading, and how to continuously improve and maintain 3A achievements" has become an important issue for the Group and the hospital. The hospital will adhere to 3A grading review, and make it a regular job. The Group, the hospital and departments have reached the consensus of discovering problems through review and achieving continuous improvement.
Since last year, the hospital grading evaluation has been carried out in all hospitals attached to the Group, which aims at improving and optimizing the management of hospitals subject to the grading evaluation standards for national-level hospitals.
Huangshi Aikang Hospital will conduct 3A grading on-site review annually and there will be no end for its improvement. Meanwhile, it will continue to improve the quality and safety management of the hospital, keep refining the results of the grading review and standardize the management of modern hospital.
